Weddings in Runaway Bay

    In addition to the privacy and luxury of the Fantasea Villa, have you ever been looking for a unique and charming place for your wedding or your honeymoon, or both? FantaSea villa can be your answer. We have had ceremonies in the gazebo which was decorated with flowers. You can have a small casual wedding or a large family and friends wedding. It's your choice. Our villa is surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and flowers to make a perfect setting for your special day like nothing else can.

    You can also choose to have a barefoot ceremony on the private white sand beach with the turquoise Caribbean Sea as the backdrop for the occasion. You can then bring your wedding party back to the Villa by car or by decorated golf carts. You may have a catered wedding reception by our staff and you might want to have live music by a 3 piece calypso band. We can give you a variety of choices with contacts to provide special flowers, wedding cake or photographers. Just let us know what you want and we will help you arrange it. You can spend as little or as much as you want, either way, you will have beautiful memories. Again, with an average annual temperature of 82 degrees and trade wind breezes, the white sand beaches of Runaway Bay are so enjoyable and less crowded than beaches of the larger resort areas.

    There are ministers of most denominations available in the area for a reasonable price. You may also use a marriage officer that will take care of your application for your marriage license and perform your ceremony.

WAITING PERIOD:

    Visitors can be married just 24 hours after arriving in Jamaica, providing that a prior application has been made for a marriage license.

DOCUMENTATION:

1. Proof of citizenship--certified copy of birth certificate, which includes father's name.

2. Parent's written consent, if under age 18.

3. Proof of divorce (if applicable)--original certificate of divorce.

4. Certified copy of death certificate for widow or widower.

5. Italian nationals that are celebrating their marriage in Jamaica must notify their embassy, and a certified copy of their marriage certificate must be forwarded to their embassy to be legalized and translated.

6. French Canadians need a notarized translated English copy of all documents and a photocopy of the original French documents.

7. No blood test is required.
